The Name: Adalynn McKinley

We always liked the name Addison. However, Addison seems to be kind of trendy and a name with growing popularity. So we decided to look at some related names. The name Adalynn or Addilynn came up. I loved it instantly, Jeremy was not so sold on it.

Jeremy's middle name is Lynn and his dad's middle name is Lynn. I don't hate the name Lynn but it was never a name that I thought we would use. So when the spelling Adalynn came up, I thought that was a great way to have her name have meaning without actually naming her after someone. There are actually a lot of family members with similar names. Jeremy has a great aunt named Addie. He also had another great aunt named Ada, his other great grandma's sister.

Then there comes McKinley. McKinley originally comes from Jeremy's great grandpa, Oscar McKinley Yates. Jeremy and his dad, Don were both very close to grandad Yatesy. We have always liked his middle name. This is also the middle name of Jeremy's uncle Ronnie and his cousin Casey. We decided to use it as a middle name that way if anyone else in the family wanted to use it they still could!

When you put both names together you get: Adalynn McKinley

If she happens to be a he, we are in a lot of trouble because there is no backup plan or name.
