We have a Pooping Problem

WOOO Pig Sooie!!

Okay, my wonderful baby is now upset every night and every morning when it is time to POOP! You guessed it, Ricky Perrodin, I am going to talk about pooping because I know how much you love it!!

So Addie has been trying to develop a bowel movement routine. We aren't constantly pooping like we were at the beginning. Which is good because she was starting to get a diaper rash. However, she cries at night and in the morning when she is ready to poop. She gets mad and kicks her legs and her head turns red. The only thing that consoles her is nursing but is also probably not helping by pumping in more milk.

I blame myself for part of it. Mainly because I haven't been doing the best job burping Addie. I was told that breastfed babies don't always burp so haven't been trying too hard to burp her. My mistake as a first time parent. So we are working harder on that and I have started giving her the Mylicon drops. I really haven't seen that they helped so far but they can't hurt her either.

We are going to attempt to give her a bottle this weekend for the first time so we will keep you posted on that.

Right now, I am going to go finish watching the basketball game with Jeremy and Addie!

Go Hogs!

Grandpa Glenn thinks she is perfect. She is a little angel. I enjoyed my time with you. I will come see you again when I can.

Addie, I enjoy seeing your pictures. You are beautiful, but I knew you would be, actually you had no other choice. You were born into a beautiful family. Your mom and dad do such a good job keeping us up to date on you and always look forward in reading about you.
You will get all your little problems worked out and mom and dad will too. You will soon get all your feedings and poops taken care of.
You are precious!
I love you.

Too funny talking about poop! Gage still goes ALL. THE. TIME so we don't deal with that. Breastmilk is a good laxative, so feed her away when she's upset like that! Good luck with the bottle thing. Gage had bottles at first and I was afraid it would derail our nursing relationship, but after just nursing for a while, he doesn't like a bottle- of course, they tried to give him one after surgery when he was still kind of out of it.

Okay everyone else gives advice so I will share a bit. My one and only had a pooping issue also. My wise and sainted mother gave me this hint use just enough DARK KARO syrup to turn the water brown.
It worked for my son also if she is into juices the ones mixed with prune juice are good. But what ever you do and no matter how much she likes it do not give her the whole bottle at one time BIG MISTAKE BIG MISTAKE!! Love Karen
