Where has the time gone?

Well I feel like I am way behind on this website thing. We have taken so many pictures but haven't had the time to get them on the computer and then work on the blog. I don't know what we have been doing? It doesn't seem like a lot but I guess I am raising a daughter.

The first week home, we had Grammy with us. Over the weekend, we had Matt and Mary Kim, Eric and Tasha, Mike and Karen, Pa and Mamaw, and Grandmother visit us. Then that Monday and Tuesday, Daddy stayed home two extra days and we took Addie to Target and I had to go by the hospital. Wednesday and Thursday, we had Mamaw with us. Last Friday, was the first day with just Addie and mommy at home! We haven't had a lot of alone time and she mostly sleeps. I guess I am not the best company.

When we brought Addie home, she had not cried hardly at all. That Tuesday night though she found her voice. We slept some but she was just wanting to eat every two hours. After that she adjusted quickly. We get up twice a night now to eat and change our diaper. She does not enjoy the pacifier so we are working on that. I really don't want her to take it but I want her to be able to soothe herself and right now she thinks that means nursing.

Our first visit to the pediatrician we found out that Addie had two rashes. Apparently we were had too many clothes on her. She was too hot and had a heat rash. Who knew that a baby could be hot? We thought that were suppose to be all bundled up!! Then the other rash was something that 50% of all babies get and it is now gone.

The nursing is going well. She was pooping constantly but it has slowed down a little bit now. She is about to lose her belly button which is disgusting to me!! When you put her on your chest, she is lifting her head up and turning it from side to side.

So far all is good and we have an excellent baby!!!

I am so glad things are going well! She is such a cutie! On the nursing thing- when they're that little it's like one big growth spurt and they want to nurse all the time to get your supply up. It's frequency, not time that does that. I promise it gets better! Gage is sleeping all night now (11-12 hours) and has been since he was about 2 months old. Sounds like Addie is well on her way there if she's only getting up twice in the night! There's nothing like a good sleeper!
