Jeremy has been posting the pictures!!! I am going to try to post some words now so that everyone will know the story of Addie's entrance into the world. I will try to post some stories and information as time allows.
After our second visit to the hospital on Saturday night and we were sent home, things seemed to start happening. Saturday night while I was sleeping I had some cramping that was strong enough to wake me up. On Sunday morning, I really didn't want to get up so we laid around all morning. We played with the dogs and laid in bed watching Home Alone and Mona Lisa Smile.
As the day progressed, my back pain was increasing and I was having some contractions. Then we realized that we had no dog food. So we headed out to buy dog food and we went to Harp's. I guess Jeremy was in Harp's and I was talking to dad on the phone when I first noticed the most uncomfortable of pains. When we got home, I thought that Addie was on a nerve again. So, I decided to make chili and walk around the house.
Jeremy ate his chili and I started having lots of back pain followed by full contractions in my stomach. However, I was unsure if the shooting back pain/labor counted in with the contractions. For three hours, I laid around and then would jump up with pain and walk around the house. Finally at 8:30 I was like lets go to the hospital.
When we got there they checked me and I was dilated to a 5. So I said give me my epidural. After the paperwork and some more pain, I received my epidural and was dilated to 6.5. The nurses felt that it was highly likely that she would come before midnight. We were the only labor and delivery occurring that night, so we had lots of great care!!
Around midnight, they decided to give me some Pytocin to encourage the contractions to last longer so that when I began pushing it wouldn't be as hard on me. Addie tolerated this for like 15 minutes and her heart rate started dropping so we stopped that.
Around two, the nurses discovered that Addie's head was turned sideways. So they tried to move her. That did not work. The next plan was to move me, to move her. This meant that mom, Becky and Jeremy had to help me shift from side to side every five minutes. So we started out on my right. When I rocked to my left Addie's heart rate dropped again. This was obviously not going well!! Dr. Hinton came in and checked us and said, "She is stuck, so we can either push for 3 hours and then result in C-section or just start go ahead with the c-section now." I really did not want a c-section but I really did want a baby!!!
So Jeremy and I agreed that c-section was what was going to happen. The tears began. I was crying and Jeremy was trying to keep me calm but we were a little stressed out and obviously Addie was too!
The c-section was surprisingly easy. It was exactly what the video had said and we all did very well. However, I was still pretty upset about it. I had an hour of recovery and Jeremy had an hour of being with Addie. He took her to the nursery to get everything done that way I could have her when I was recovered. This is the story of Addie's Grand Entry into the World!
We have had her a whole week now!! It is very hard to believe. If you have called and I haven't called you back please do not be upset. I have no idea where the whole week has gone to!!

Take care and cant wait to read more.
I so know how you feel about the c-section. I still have sad thoughts about mine, but it's what had to happen to get our beautiful babies here safely, and that's what matters.

Girl, you did awesome. She is beautiful! Call me if you need to share any frustrations since we are on the exact same page right now! I cant believe their birthdays are so close! Good thing the 3 of us are not working at the same place (Jamie, of course) or the ST dept would be in trouble. Enjoy the infant stage. I feel like Anna Beth gets bigger every day! I really just want her to start talking (cooing). Love ya!
