Our first trip to the hospital and possible last weekend!!

After being told on Tuesday that I was dilated to 2.5cm and 80% effaced, I was having some weird pains on Thursday evening. Jeremy is convinced that I am the most stubborn person alive so we went to the hospital. By the way the hospital gives no medical advice via phone. Their response is "just come in." He won the battle!! So off we go to the hospital.

When we got there, I got checked in and the nurse checked me. Still 2.5 and 80%. So they hooked me up to the monitors for an hour. The weird pain that I was having, was registering on the intensity scale as a 12, which it goes from 0 to 120. So as you guessed it was no big deal. Her head is apparently hitting a nerve occassionally. The bizarre part was every 8 minutes I am having contractions in 40-60 intensity range and not feeling those. This kinda scared me because I am thinking that what if I never start feeling contractions and she just falls out!!! I know not possible but still a thought. After an hour, they checked again and I was dilated to 3 cm. however; they didn't keep me.

On Friday, Jeremy and I went out to eat pizza with Jamie, Matt and Maebrie. Saturday, Pop, Grandma Bec and Grandmother Yates came to visit. We smoked some steaks and ate lunch while watching the football game. Everyone just keeps staring at me like it's up to me when Addie will come. Saturday afternoon, I took a nap and we went for a walk. I have eaten spicy food. SHE IS NEVER COMING!!

We are hoping to have a baby by the end of the week.

Andrea, I know you are so anxious for Addie to make her appearance, but she will decide on her own to come when she gets ready and will probably be when you least expect her.
This is one time she will do what she wants!! No one telling her what or what not to do.
Gene came when it was snowing could hardly see in front of the car to get to hospital. Becky came before I could eat something, as my mother said I needed to, for energy. Rickey came early, early one morning after he broke my water in the bed, before I could get to the hospital.(but did wait until I got to the hospital before he came). Randy came so fast, I hardly knew what was going on. They seem to do as they please and is not left entirely up to the mother.... But is best to be safe and early to hospital then late, so thank Jeremy for wanting the best for you and Addie, as he always will be!
When you had said you were expecting about the 28th, I had thought she would possibly be about 2 weeks early but then I also thought she may come on your Grandma Velma's birthday which was on the 25th. Anyway, we will be waiting to hear of her arrival.

I know those last few weeks seem to drag by, but she'll get here! I'm thinking about you! I hope labor goes well for you and she gets here safe and sound! I can't wait to see a pic of her!
