Today was the big appointment before the holiday!!
I was pretty sure this was going to be it. But unfortunately was disappointed. After my exam, Dr. Hix told me that there was NO CHANGE!!! I am still 3 cm and not quite 90% effaced.
The walking did nothing, the raspberry tea nothing, cleaning nothing!!
I am very tired of all women who have previously had children telling me, what happened to them and assuming that it will be the same for ME!!!
I am also tired of hearing about how she hasn't dropped. From what I have read first babies usually don't drop. Only second children and livestock animals.
As you can tell by my words, I am beginning to become cranky and frustrated. As my friend Ricky put it, "you know that she will be here by the end of the year, so that you can have a tax deduction."
For now I am sitting at the bar, watching Jeremy prepare the brine for turkey. He is very excited about that. So maybe we will have a nice Thanksgiving and then Have a Baby!!!
I really hope that there is not a week 40 update. I hope that there is a baby before then. Until then have a Happy Thanksgiving

I'm sorry there's no change! I know you are ready to have your baby in your arms and not your belly! I hate to tell you this, but the average for 1st babies is 41.5 weeks...I won't tell you to be patient, though...Gage was evicted at 38 weeks and I wasn't emotionally ready for him to be here yet, so I never got to the point you are now. Hang in there, girl! Addie will let you know when she's ready!
Hey!! You are so much better than cranky! Hang in there until she gets here and then put my name on the babysitters list for the terrible twos or threes! By then you will have run out of relatives and will have to call on OLD friends. Love Ya Gal, Karen
