Today was the visit where I just knew that I would be staying at the hospital. I have had the car packed with all of my things but today I put in everything. I spent the day training the lady who is going to replace me at work while I am out and left to go to the doctor.
Addie's Uncle Randy called and was off and volunteered to go with me to the doctor. He only enjoys going because there are "hot girls" at the women's hospital and OB/GYN office. So he sits in the lobby to enjoy the scenery!!
So I finally get called back and I informed Dr. Hix of our visit to the hospital last week. Then I told him that he was either going to be my favorite person or least favorite person of the day.
After the exam, he tells me that I am still dilated to a good 3cm. and almost 90% effaced. He then explained to me that he does not like to induce before 39 weeks just in case something hadn't developed yet. He told me that I would never forgive myself if something wasn't right yet. So when he put it that way, I couldn't argue!!!! We want a healthy Addie.
My next appointment is Tuesday but he did say that it was highly likely that it could happen before then. I am so totally ready for all of this!! Everyone please pray that Addie comes over the weekend.

hey your getting soooo close. I bet your getting excited,, i know i was and i had Dr. Hix. hes an excellent doc. i really liked him. However he let me walk around dialated at a 4 for about 2 weeks, i coulda hurt him for that one. LOL. But as long as the baby is healthy thats what matters. Good luck and cant wait to see pics
Addie, we are all waiting patiently or maybe not but you will get here when you are ready and not a minute earlier! Your mother was 2 weeks late and then Dr. Webster induced and she was well worth waiting on! She has been a blessing and I know you will be too!
