Ms. Anna has reported that Addie has been scooting around to get things. This weekend Addie wanted the laptop and crawled over to it. She isn't lifting up her belly. But oh well scoot crawling/army crawling/Addie Hop is better than no crawling. Right? After a mommy and daddy reflection, we decided that we probably aren't doing a lot to encourage her to crawl. We continue to play with her constantly on her pallet in the living room with all of her toys. When we leave her alone and sit on the couch, she actually crawls around and gets toys and plays with them!! Who knew that sometime you should leave your child alone??
As the week has progressed the crawl has gotten a little better. Today, I was feeding her Cheetos. Because she loves them! And she grabbed my shirt and pulled her self up to her knees and was getting to her feet. Oh my goodness, it is so super scary. She has no balance and absolutely no safety awareness. She is so going to be bruised up soon.
Please pray for Jeremy and I as our parenting makes a new turn from an infant to a walking baby!
Oh yeah, and I am pretty sure that she is using mama with purpose now. She has called me that 4 times in the last few days. It is absolutely the most precious sound, I have ever heard.
