I wasn't sure if Addie was ready for this or not. But last weekend we got out Addie's Jumperoo. She is a little bit small for it but loves it. She can't jump very well in it but she can get it to bounce. She loves the music, lights and the yellow monkey!!
This was a shower gift from my cousin Brie and her husband Neil. Brie is currently completing a medical rotation in Colorado. We miss them very much and can't wait for Addie to get to meet them!

We don't have a jumperoo, but we do have an exersaucer and Gage really likes it. We need to be better about a bedtime routine with books. We are kind of haphazard about reading to him. You and Addie look great! She is such a cutie!
Well we are glad that Addie is finally enjoying our gift. A couple of those pictures are so funny because she is so wide eyed. We still aren't sure when we'll get home next, but can't wait to see how big she has gotten. Love and miss you guys.
Neal and Brie

I wish blogger had a way to reply to comments :/. Oh well. You know, the APA is saying to wait for solids until 6 months now because their gut just isn't mature enough before then (so if it's not going well, you still have a couple of months). If you start to notice her sleep go to crap, lay off for a few days and see if it changes. I did that with Gage, even though we did wait until 6 months and apparently the tiny bit of food he was getting down was messing with his tummy. I waited a couple of weeks and tried again. It's just been in the last week or so that it hasn't messed him up. On the avocado- the first time I tried I just mushed it up. That's supposed to be fine to do. The 2nd time I mixed it with breast milk and put it in the little food processor, thinking the breast milk might make it more palatable for him, but apparently it didn't. It was more the consistency of the jarred baby food, though. Good luck with solids. Gage just isn't a fan and I feel bad that this stuff is going to waste! I had big plans of going by the books and he would love it all, but that hasn't happened. I know it's really just practice before a year and all he really needs is milk, but when everybody is asking about his eating, you kind of feel like you should be doing something! BFing is just so much easier!!!
