A Wonderful Weekend

Hopefully, I can figure out how to get the pictures from my phone to Jeremy's ipod and then onto the computer but for now you will just have to hear about it. While Mom was up with Addie, I was able to do a few things that I wanted to do to Addie's room. Jeremy has been wonderful caring for Addie but when I come home he is ready for a break and I am ready to spend time with just her. So having Mom here allowed for me to do some stuff.

Friday night, I painted an accent wall in Addie's room. So now she has a pink wall and her stuffed animal hanger that I made is complete. I will post pictures of that soon.

Saturday afternoon, Grammy left, we played and laughed and took a nap together. Saturday evening, we went to the Save Decatur Schools fundraiser and we had a blast. It was like 100 degrees but Addie didn't care. We saw a snake and rode on a turtle.

We also saw all of Addie's friends from Anna's as well as Anna. Addie was so excited to see Alea and Braxton. I think that she remembers them. She was so hot and I forgot to take a cup so I bought her some bottled water. She had a hard time drinking it effectively so I bought her a snow cone with no juice and she loved it!!

We tried to buy her a fort/swingset thing at the auction but I lost out. It went a little higher than I was willing to pay. $400 was my limit and that's what it went for:( We will get one when Addie is big enough to use it.

During the auction, I gave Addie the bottle of water to play with. She splashed and had a great time pouring it all over herself!! Before we left we had to change her diaper and her clothes!!

When we came home we played in the bed and every time I looked at Addie she would just laugh! I know that many of you have kids and you know the feeling, but the love she has is so amazing. Most of you know everything that I went through to get her. Not that all of your children aren't special but for those of us who had to work hard to get ours, it is truly a miracle of life.

We had a wonderful mother and daughter weekend! However, we did miss our Daddy and are ready for him to be home!
